Sustainable Creativity: Nurturing Careers & Our Planet
Hey Creative Bestie!
As we celebrate Earth Month, I've been reflecting on how our creative work and our planet's wellbeing are deeply interconnected. When we nurture sustainable creative practices and communities, we're also cultivating the mindset needed to address our environmental challenges. Our Q2 has been filled with projects that explore this connection and how creative voices can amplify environmental efforts and how sustainable practices can strengthen our creative ecosystems.
I believe that sustainable creative careers require a sustainable planet, and vice versa. The artists, entrepreneurs, and community builders featured in this month's newsletter are all finding innovative ways to weave these threads together, whether through collaborative creative processes, community-building initiatives, or direct environmental advocacy.
NEW EPISODE: "Can Creative Communities Transform Independent Artists' Careers?"
Our latest episode of Could Be Pretty Cool News features a special roundtable discussion with Bill Worley, co-founder of Cool Cool Cool Productions, Mike Brown, host and producer of the podcast "The Art of Letting Go," and Jazz Jackson, founder and CEO of Unearthly Studios Creative Agency. Together, they explore building creative community through The Artist's Way groups and effective marketing strategies for creative entrepreneurs.
Some key highlights from our conversations:
How The Artist's Way transformed their creative careers and led several participants to pursue their artistic passions full-time
Different approaches to structuring Artist's Way sessions, from in-person to virtual formats
The power of accountability and community in nurturing creative practices
Jazz's insights on social media strategy, email marketing, and guerrilla marketing approaches for creatives
Building authentic connections with audiences both online and offline

SPEAKING OF EARTH MONTH…
We just got accepted into the Amplifiers: Atlanta program! We'll be building community IRL so we can take charge and take action on clean energy solutions. So ready to bring people power to the way we build clean energy solutions in Atlanta!
The Amplifiers: Atlanta program brings together community builders and content creators who are passionate about climate solutions and clean energy. It's an exciting opportunity to connect with other local leaders who believe Atlanta can lead the way to a cleaner, healthier energy future.
This aligns perfectly with Atlanta's existing commitment to clean energy (in 2019, the Atlanta City Council unanimously passed a resolution to achieve 100 percent clean energy by 2035.)

Best of luck in all your endeavors!
